Welbeck 22 perc alatt duplázott, majd Walcott klasszikus mesterhármast szerzett, amivel 5-0-ra nyert a Southampton otthonában. Erre egyébként tétmeccsen 2003 óta nem volt példa.
Az Arsenal sorozatban hatodik idegenbeli FA-kupa-meccsét nyerte meg.
